Plane Sealed Off at Airport

March 19, 2003

A British Midlands jet was sealed off at Glasgow Airport for more than an hour after three passengers fell ill.

Public health officials were called to the airport and the plane was isolated.

They boarded the plane to examine three people, belonging to the same family, who were reported to have been taken ill on the flight.

The shuttle plane from London Heathrow landed at 1830 GMT on Wednesday.

A spokesman for BAA said isolating the aircraft was a "routine" procedure.

All passengers have been allowed to leave the aircraft.
