The Re-emergence of The Third Reich
March 6, 2003
It hardly seems as though three months have elapsed since I last wrote my monthly letter; the time has passed incredibly fast.
I have received many lovely letters and cards full of warm wishes, encouragement and mental support which have profoundly affected me. I want to thank you all very much. Last November, I despondently wondered if it was worthwhile to continue writing this letter. After being plummeted with Internet hate-mail, I questioned if emotionally, I could sustain the fight and survive the warfare. Your support, however, along with a much-needed rest, made me realize I can't lay down the gauntlet yet, but must continue to fight until I am finally "knocked off my horse."
During my downtime, I tried to avoid reading any political material, but readily acknowledge, I was not entirely successful in my avoidance. I did however, allow myself the privilege of reading "just for fun." Thus, I delighted greatly in rereading the works of my favorite author, John Steinbeck.
I owe a lot to this man, for it was Steinbeck who opened my eyes to the magnificence of the written word. His sensitivity and introspective ability to capture the essence of the human condition, cemented my decision to become a writer.
In September of 1960, John Steinbeck, accompanied by his faithful French Poodle Charley, set out in a camper truck named Rocinante, (named after Don Quixote's horse), in search of America. In Travels with Charley, he authentically described an America, far removed from his boyhood. I found his commentary entertaining but also discerned the deep undertones of a man mourning his country. I empathized with his loss for I recognized it was my loss as well. It made me yearn for the freedom of my youth. I realized, however, I have never known the complete sense of freedom that Steinbeck and others of his generation knew. Those fortunate Americans who came to adulthood before the long, lean years of the depression had known an America that was almost free of government encroachments.
The New Deal programs of the 1930s changed all that as the economic environment of The Great Depression, provided a vulnerable platform for government control. By embracing those programs, Americans unwittingly sold their birthright for a pot of porridge. The enactment of the Social Security Act and later, the Federal Income Tax, firmly established a precedent of government intervention, into the lives of its citizens, that would never be revoked. Sadly, each succeeding generation has succumbed to continued government constraints, so much so, that the America of today, doesn't even resemble the America of 1960, much less 1930. The process of gradualism quietly continued over the decades, to the extent, that most Americans never realized what they had lost. The gradualism methodology was, however, forever abandoned following the events of 911.
Through the establishment of the Office of Homeland Security and the Patriot Act, America has now become a mirrored image of Hitler's Germany. Just as the last vestiges of German independence burned away in the Reichstag fire, the sound of the American liberty bell was forever silenced by the crash of a plane. Now, the only sound heard is the fervent march toward a Global government and the cacophony, is louder than the clatter of Nazi storm troopers' boots, clicking against a cobblestone street. Perhaps, we might profit mentally by hanging our flags at half-massed and spending 30 days mourning the loss of an old friend, but I doubt it.
In the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, William L Shirer, records the acceleration of Hitler's control in the aftermath of the Reichstag fire. "On the day following the fire, February 28, he [Hitler] prevailed on President Hindenburg to sign a decree 'for the Protection of the People and the State' suspending the seven sections of the constitution which guaranteed individual and civil liberties . . . the decree laid down that: Restrictions on personal liberty, on the right of free expression of opinion, including freedom of the press; on the rights of assembly and association; and violations of the privacy of postal, telegraphic and telephone communications; and warrants for house searches, orders for confiscation as well as restrictions on property, are also permissible beyond the legal limits otherwise prescribed."
On February 7, 2003, the Center for Public Integrity obtained a draft copy of the Domestic Security Enchantment Act of 2003. This bill, which is now being referred to as Patriot Act II, was drafted by Attorney General John Ashcroft's staff.
"Dr. David Cole, Georgetown University Law professor, reviewed the draft at the request for the Policy Center and gave this assessment: 'the legislation raises a lot of serious concerns.
It's troubling that they have gotten this far along and they've been telling people there is nothing in the works.' This proposed law, he added, 'would radically expand law enforcement and intelligence gathering authorities, reduce or eliminate judicial oversight over surveillance, authorize secret arrests, create a DNA database based on unchecked executive suspicion, create new death penalties, and even seek to take American citizenship away from persons who belong to or support disfavored political groups.'"
This proposed bill has yet to be introduced in the House or Senate, but following the next terror event, it may very well be rushed through Congress just like its counterpart, Patriot Act I. In the name of Homeland Security, citizens now fear any public discussion that might be considered anti-government or anti-Bush. Those who brazenly still believe they can execute their right of free speech are being arrested and interrogated.
As reported in the February 16 Santa Fe New Mexican, Attorney Andrew J. O' Conner, was arrested on February 13, at St. John's College Library. Handcuffed and brought to the police station in Santa Fe, New Mexico, he was grilled by secret service agents. He was "accused of making threatening remarks about President George W. Bush in an Internet chat room." He also admitted talking politics to a woman in the library who was wearing a "no war with Iraq" button.
The arrest of Mr. O' Conner, and others like him who dare send "anti-government" email, post objections to unconstitutional law on Internet bulletin boards, voice their opinions on talk radio or display any public disapproval to the current oligarchy, is now quite legal. In January, a federal appeal's court ruled that President Bush has the authority to designate U.S. citizens as enemy combatants and detain them if they are deemed a threat to national security. The court also stated those enemy combatants, even if they are American, are not entitled to an attorney, and only the executive branch can determine who is an enemy combatant.
On March 23, 1933, the Enabling Act was passed in Germany, which ultimately gave Hitler his dictatorial authority. It should be noted, that everything done by the Third Reich was legal, and done under "color of law." History is being replicated once again.
The following article, as reported in the British press, uncovered, the existence of a clandestine, Washington based "spy-court," that issues its cloak and dagger warrants under the protections of the Patriot Act.
"The FBI does not have to explain why it applied for search warrants to bug homes and tap phones of defendants in a terrorism case, a federal judge ruled Wednesday in an early test of the government's new and expanded spying powers. The five defendants were charged in October with conspiring to support al-Qaida and the Taliban. U.S. District Judge Robert E. Jones denied a defense request asking the government to reveal its justification for the secret warrants, issued under the USA Patriot Act, the anti-terror legislation passed by Congress after Sept. 11. The warrants allowed agents to bug the home of at least one defendant and tap the phone of another. The ultra-secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, or "spy court," in Washington issued the warrants last year. The agents used 36 secret warrants in the case to intercept more than 271 conversations."
Thus, the U.S. district courts seem to be on par with the German courts of the 1930s as William Shirer observed. "The basic Gestapo law promulgated by the government, put the secret police organizations above the law. The courts were not allowed to interfere with its activities."
Occupied with their daily routines; still living in their comfort zones, the American public have yet to realize their loss of personal freedom. In 1934, in the early days of the Third Reich, the situation was the same.
"The overwhelming majority of Germans did not seem to mind that their personal freedoms had been take away . . . In the background, to be sure, there lurked the terror of the Gestapo and the fear of the concentration camp for those who got out of line or who had been Communists or Socialists or too liberal or too pacifists, or who were Jews . . . Yet the Nazi terror in the early years affected the lives of relatively few Germans and a newly arrived observer was somewhat surprised to see that the people of this country did not seem to feel that they were being cowed and held down by an unscrupulous and brutal dictatorship. On the contrary, they supported it with genuine enthusiasm. Somehow it imbued them with a new hope and a new confidence and an astonishing faith in the future of their country."
In 1934, Adolph Hitler delivered a memorandum to his cabinet, "proposing that the S.A.(Brown shirts) should be the foundation of a new People's Army and that the armed forces, the S.A., and S.S.(Black shirts) and all veterans' groups would be placed under a single Ministry of Defense, which - the implication was clear - he should preside."
The following excerpts are remarks made by George W. Bush, on November 2002 at the signing of the Homeland Security Act.
"Dozens of agencies charged with homeland security will now be located within one Cabinet department with the mandate and legal authority to protect our people. . . The new department will bring together the agencies responsible for border, coastline, and transportation security . . . And I'm grateful that the Congress listened to my concerns and retained the authority of the President to put the right people in the right place at the right time in the defense of our country."
Presently, all facets of law enforcement, national guard, border patrol and the military are being coordinated to serve as federal police under the auspices of Homeland Security. In North Carolina, police officers and sheriff's deputies are already being deputized as federal marshals in the war on terrorism.
The contrived war on terror, waged by incompetent security screeners at the nation's airports, has produced a multitudinous outcry and provoked many travelers to abandon the airlines and to seek an alternative means of travel. The intimidation has been successful in that it has produced the desired effect of bankrupting major airlines, thus guaranteeing eventual government control of the industry. Screeners have confiscated toenail clippers, knitting needles, pocket knives, cigarette lighters and other sundry items. An eighty-two-year-old woman has been strip-searched, a breast-feeding mother has been forced to drink her own bottled breast milk, and many women have been violated by male workers who have taken liberties when "patting them down." This deluded attempt at maintaining security, has done nothing to prevent terrorism, but has been used to psychologically condition the public into submitting to the authority of the government. Ordered by Congress after the 9/11 attacks, a new computer system; CAPPS II - Computer Assisted Passenger Prescreening System, will check existing databases and compile a dossier on each prospective airline passenger. Bank records, credit reports, speeding tickets, and other such files, will be scrutinized, and the resulting information will be used to assign each traveler a threat level. Delta Airlines is said, to be using the system this month on a trial basis, and if proved effective, the operation will be installed in all airports by the end of the year. In the foreseeable future, those deemed "politically incorrect" will be classified as a security threat; their freedom of travel restricted.
Over sixty-years-ago, inhabitants of occupied Europe, feared the jack-booted storm troopers who guarded the checkpoints and borders. In guttural German, the spoken command, "show me your papers," struck fear in the hearts of those hearing the words. Has the historical understanding of those times been so obliterated from the minds of the American people they fail to realize that now, through airport identity checks, it is happening again?
To those individuals who read the "alternative press" it has been quite obvious that the major media has been distorting the truth and altering the news it reports.
A recent court ruling, has solidified that opinion. On February 14, the Second District Florida Court of Appeals ruled in New World Communications of Tampa, Inc. vs. Jane Akre that the "FCC policy against the intention of falsification of the news . . . does not qualify as the required law, rule or regulation under Fla. Sta. 448.102." In essence, the ruling states that a news organization that lies or distorts the truth is not breaking the law. Journalist Jane Akre, had sued Fox News station WTVT claiming she had been terminated in retaliation for resisting the station's attempts to distort or suppress a report which she was investigating. Following this verdict, I'm sure news producers across America can now sleep well at night knowing that what they do best, is perfectly legal.
Americans are being fed a daily diet of propaganda, but have become too "brainwashed" to realize it. William Shrier, who resided in Germany during Hitler's rise, relates his personal experience at confronting propaganda. " I myself was to experience how easily one is taken in by a lying and censored press and radio in a totalitarian state. Though unlike most Germans I had daily access to foreign newspapers, especially those of London, Paris and Zurich, which arrived the day after publication, and though I listened regularly to the BBC and other foreign broadcasts . . .
It was surprising and sometimes consternating to find that notwithstanding the opportunities I had to learn the facts and despite one's inherent distrust of what one learned from Nazi sources, a steady diet over the years of falsifications and distortions made a certain impression on one's mind and often mislead it. No one who has not lived for years in a totalitarian land can possibly conceive how difficult it is to escape the dread consequences of a regime's calculated and incessant propaganda. Often in a German home or office or sometimes in a casual conversation with a stranger in a restaurant, a beer hall, a cafe I would meet with the most outlandish assertions from seemingly educated and intelligent persons. It was obvious that they were parroting some piece of nonsense they had heard on the radio or read in the newspapers. Sometimes one was tempted to say as much, but on such occasions one was met with such a state of incredulity, such a shock of silence, as if one had blasphemed the Almighty, that one realized how useless it was then to try to make contact with a mind which had become warped and for whom the facts of life had become what Hitler and Goebbles, with their cynical disregard for truth, said they were."
Shrier's observations of German society parallels the American society of the twenty-first century. He is correct when he says it is useless to try and make contact with a mind which has become warped. In today's climate, if one tries to tell a stranger the truth regarding the International Cabal which runs the country, cynical verbal assaults are spit at the bearer of the news. The assault becomes more intense if one attempts to tell a "so-called Christian" that George W. Bush is not a Christian, and is indeed, a member of the Luciferin secret society called Skull and Bones. [For more information on Bush and his membership in Skull and Bones see the Oct.-Nov.2002 issue of The Investigative Reporter.]
The March 13, Newsweek cover story, Bush and God, portrays George W. Bush as the most Godly man to ever sit in the White House. The article reveals the duplicity of the Christian church as it states, "Bible-believing Christians are Bush's strongest backers . . . they are, by far, the strongest supporters of a war - unilateral if need be - to remove Saddam." Christian ministers are also praising Bush from the pulpit and feeding the flock a bowl of deception that would make Satan gloat.
In the early years of the Third Reich, Adolph Hitler beguiled the world and his fellow Germans with his Christian rhetoric. "Article 24 of the [Nazi] party program had demanded 'liberty for all religious denominations in the State so far as they are not a danger to . . . the moral feelings of the German race. The party stands for positive Christianity.' In his speech of March 23, 1933, to the Reichstag . . . Hitler paid tribute to the Christian faiths as 'essential elements for safeguarding the soul of the German people, promised to respect their rights, declared that his government's ambition is a peaceful accord between Church and State' and added - with an eye to the votes of the Catholic Center Party, which he received - that 'we hope to improve our friendly relations with the Holy See.'"
"He [Hitler] was well aware that the resistance to the Nazification of the Protestant churches came from a minority of pastors and an even smaller minority of worshipers."
Most German ministers supported Adolph Hitler's rise to dominance and among them, Pastor Martin Niemoeller, former WWI U-boat captain and war hero, felt the Nazi revolution would bring about a national revival. Niemoeller's triumphant enthusiasm quickly turned to disillusionment, however; as he realized Hitler's version of salvation was not through the acceptance of Jesus Christ, but by embracing National Socialism and worshiping the Fuehrer.
In July of 1937, after speaking out against the Nazi doctrine, he was apprehended and incarcerated. In March of 1938, he was tried, and then released, however, on the way out of the courthouse he was arrested by the Gestapo and sent to a concentration camp. He remained there for seven years until the camp was liberated by Allied forces. For over twenty years, I have carried a newspaper clipping in my wallet. Occasionally, I will retrieve it from its plastic folder, which also holds the photographs of my children, and reread the words that stirred my soul so long ago.
"When the Nazis went after the Jews, I was not a Jew, so I did not react. When they persecuted the Catholics, I was not a Catholic, so I did not move. When they went after the workers, I was not a worker, so I did not stand up. When they went after the Protestant clergy, I moved, I reacted, I stood up. But by then it was too late." - Martin Niemoeller
There were other courageous Christian ministers who refused to compromise the Gospel and lost their lives for the sake of their belief in Jesus Christ, but unfortunately, many signed an oath of allegiance to Hitler. On Sundays, as those compromised ministers preached their sermons of "One People, One Reich, One Faith," the cremated ashes of Jewish women and children rained down past the walls of Buchenwald, and Auschwitz, and gently landed on the bicycles of those attending church inside. How many Niemoellers exist today?
How many Christians will stand up to the Satanic Globalist system, and rebuke the perverted message being preached by today's ministers of seduction? Will they stand, or will they blindly follow even when the ashes of the twenty-first century saints fall upon their heads? "
When Germany awoke,' wrote Douglas Reed, a British reporter, 'a man's home was no longer his castle. He could be seized by private individuals, could claim no protection from the police, could be indefinitely detained without preferment of charges; his property could be seized, his verbal and written communications overheard and perused; he no longer had the right to foregather with his fellow countrymen, and his newspapers might no longer freely express their opinions.'"
When America awakens, I fear there will be nothing left but death and destruction, but by then, of course it will be too late.
Throughout the years, when Americans have read or heard horror stories of human sufferings and loss of rights, which have occurred in other lands or in another time, they have always said, "it can never happen here." Lamentably, it is happening here!
The same repulsive Satanic spirit, that blanketed the Third Reich, is now present and has corrupted the Legislative, Judicial and Executive branches of the United States government. Its stench has spread to the school systems, the social services and throughout state and city governments. It's stink is rotting away Church walls, but nobody seems to smell the odor. Only the saving grace of Jesus Christ can wash away the smell, restore lost souls, and make all things new. Lest America repent, the reign of terror that soon will be visited upon this land, will be far beyond anything experienced by the occupied people of the Third Reich.
God Bless You All,
