War Against the Wahabi

Editorial Note:

The increase in Wahabi specific verbiage appearing within our general Model Run of late June 2003 offered an opportunity to process the data sets with the goal of focusing on this subject for what intelligence may be gleaned. As the data set specific to the Wahabi was extracted from the larger run of values, it is likely that there is a large degree of variance possible in this interpretation. What makes this effort worth while is that the Wahabi specific references in the data set have grown over 200 per cent in the last 2 data acquisitions. It was decided therefore to attempt a meaningful interpretation of the existent Wahabi specific data. Accordingly, the interpretation below represents a specifically focused view of the model with the goal of answering several questions of immediate interest. For this Special Report, the data is presented in a question and answer format.


Q: Where do the Wahabi’ites attack us next?

A: The [Wahabi] entity is seen as preparing an attack on a site with aspects of (South) with specific references to a place where the (wood) in the (earth) {grows} {upward}. Near by will be an (energy) {plant} filled with {tremendous} (effort/work). The target chosen for the entity has associations with a (vertical wall/ascent) near which is a (low land) or (low lying area) from which there rises (power) and (influence/confluence). This latter may suggest a site where a power plant sits at the base of a cliff or naturally occurring wall that has the power lines rising to it. Further, there is a form of a (departure) {to the south} close by which suggests some form of transportation hub with a main focus to the south which lies close to the chosen target. Other details suggest that near to the chosen target, is a place where (heaps) of {small things} (rise upward) to some height. The number of both aspects and attributes which related to wood, and woods, and copse, suggest that there is some form of natural woodland setting near to the target. This woodland is near an area where (rivers) {congregate} and the (earth) {waters} (flow together) which suggests an estuarine environment. There are also references indicating a (waste) {flow} or disposal is nearby. This (waste) aspect has the attributes of {dismal} and {abysmal} as well as attributes indicating a {great} (stink/smell).

Further, there are references to (empty city) nearby the target. Perhaps an area of industrial park which is expected to be deserted at the time of the attack, or could even reference abandoned buildings, though the attributes are not so clear as to be able to make a definitive interpretation. However, that said, there are a number of words referring to (brakes), and (brake noise) and (dead man switch) and (switches/changes) which would indicate a near by train yard. As the aspects bring up noise of the (brakes) as being able to be heard from the site of the attack, this would suggest that a busy train yard is close enough to contribute to the majority of the on-site noise. There are also some small number of references which can be interpreted towards petroleum refineries.

In addition to the (empty city) we find a number of aspects relating to (royalty) such as (king) and (courtier) which have attributes which doubly modify both these aspects as well as a primary aspect of (Mount) as in mountain or large hill. Being linked to the aspects of (royalty) suggests that there is a named hill involved with the site which has a local connotation with (kings). There are also indicators that a (community) {project} is nearby which is associated with (social status). This (community) {project} has an association with (rhythmic motion) and a {centered} (wall). This latter could be referencing a tidal or sea wall, though this is merely a guess at this stage. There are some references suggesting that the chosen target site is very noisy.

Further, the entity suggests that there are (steps) involved with the attack, though these are not steps as in stairs but rather are to be interpreted as a many small movements or actions which will be necessary for the attack to be successful. This further suggests that the [Wahabi] entity is planning a significant action which will involve some level of coordination with many parts. The other references within this data set further amplify this idea in that the aspects return to the idea of (step by step), (small incremental movements) {bring success}. Oddly, a large component of these aspects include other aspects relating to (drunkenness) or (inebriated). These are modified and amplified by references to (not sober), (stay sober), and (advancing intoxication). This data set includes attributes indicating some need to avoid speed or haste in that the attributes include {step by step}, {steady progress}, (do not) {overleap}.

A series of curious references to (blind) and (darkness) also are part of the attack plan as seen by the model. These references also include aspects of (blindly deluded), (tricked), (exhaustion), (blind impulse), (fear of darkness), (leap) {into the dark} and other aspects relating to lack of sight.

This entity is also modified by language suggesting that the attack will be difficult and can only succeed with (persevering pressure upward), or through (not pausing) in {effort} or, (strength of will) {to go slow}.


Q: How do the Wahabi attack next?

A: The [Wahabi] entity shows that the attack is (ocean) based. Further, the attack is predicated on (holding) {the group} (together). The attack will involve the (disruption/destruction) of an (earthenware bowl). This latter arises as the prime aspect from a data set which includes (chamber) and (vessel). Of course, an initial interpretation would have to include a nuclear reactor as they are (energy) (plants) with reactor (vessels). But it could also be that the entity is saying that the attack will come from a (vessel) as in an (ocean) going boat. Other aspects include (sphere) and other words referring to (globe), (ball), and (container).

There is some suggestion within the data set, though only through opposing aspects, that the attack will be performed by the (wrong people). These aspect words may be referring to the (wrong people) in a more naming fashion rather than a descriptive way. In other words, the (wrong people) may well be a mistranslation of the actual name of the group involved, and the best that the model can do is to substitute the descriptive rather than the nominative.


Q: What is the Wahabi’s next target?

A: The [Wahabi] entity is seeking a large, lingering impact target. This target has two goals; the first is a (continuing destruction) which (shines forth) as (fire) rising from (dangerous water) to act as a (beacon) to (young men of faith/monks). The second goal of this target is to (raise up) the {image of the people} such that {shining moon} draws (closer) the {people} to {the book} –presumably the Qu’ran–. As a further descriptor for this target, we find words which suggest that a successful, from the entities point of view, attack will result in (green woods) (renewing) after the (fire) which left {charred ruins} which will be (redoubled in beauty) following the {dangerous} (rain) washing (clean) the {misery} (of the old), and replacing it with the {glorious/godlike} (new era). There is much to suggest that the planning for this attack is complete, and the entity certainly has the verbiage as though the attack is in the past. This suggests that the only thing left is the (manifestation) of the (reality of the success). The [Wahabi] entity shows this attack as being a (gathering place) {in the future} (after the coming of the calm/peace) for (young men) {of faith}. This would suggest that the attack is seen as a pivotal point that will be revered later.


Q: Describe the Wahabi’s involved in the attack.

A: The entity contains specific references to (ten pairs) {minus one tortoise} as being the attackers. These persons are (already increased) and (asleep). Which suggests that they are in place and waiting. Along with this information comes the idea that (two small bowls) will be used to (carry out) {the plan}. These (small bowls) are by (he who will sacrifice). This latter may well suggest that one of 19 persons will suicide within the attack by carrying the (bowls) of {destruction}. The others of the (ten pairs) will be (hidden) in the (lake/water) at the (foot of the mountain) awaiting the (sun rise) to {release} the (anger). Most of these participants are (young faithful) and are (naïve) to (the result) and will (sacrifice) to (spare) the (carrier). This suggests that the others from the group of 19 will be to provide support to allow the (small bowls) to be (delivered). Apparently this group is of mostly (subordinates) who are (told) that {all will be well}. This may be suggesting that this is another mass suicide attack in which the attackers are not in the `know` about the suicidal nature. Further, these persons are even now (awaiting) in (shells) their {waking} at (night) for {activities of the climb}. These attackers have each been (studied/trained) to (carry) {ten heavy boxes} of (shells/ammunition/weapons/sticks) to the (top) of the (centered wall) in the (darkness). From the (top) of the (centered wall) the (marshland) can be seen and (surveys) of the (activities of the peoples) can be seen through (watchful attention). This suggests that the attackers will attempt to gain a high ground advantage. These attackers have been told to (lie) in {the golden wheat} awaiting {release of substance/rising of the water} prior to acting.


Q: When do the Wahabi’s attack next?

A: The entity is less than specific in answering this question, however, the overwhelming number of aspects indicating (social) and (food) together would suggest that July 4 is a good timing for this attack. However, for reasons specific to the attributes modifying the many (food) references, it would be wise to interpret these aspects as also including July 3rd. These aspects for (food), (nourishment), (social gathering), (social pleasure), (light days), (favors/prizes) and others are all, without exception, containing modifiers suggesting (premature) or (not yet begun) or (not yet ready) or (anxiously awaiting). Further references to (day of preparation) suggest that July 3rd is a potential as well. Doubly linked aspects within the data set also point to the idea that an attack (before the sun rise) is indicated. But as timing clues within our model are the least reliable factor, it seems wise to interpret this as potentially meaning that the day before the (food) (gathering) day is also a prime candidate as the [Wahabi] entity sees the (point of failure/vulnerability) exists (best before) the (rising) of the {light of the sun}.


METHODS:
This report was prepared using both self defining and specific definition methods. In self defining analysis, language usage pattern shifts are allowed to define the entities emerging. In the specific definition method, specific subjects are sought and the aspects and attributes are extracted when those subject conversations are located. Specific entity definitions are used to provide a constant context to the report. The specific definitions are also used to provide differing points of view for examination of the model and its interpretation.

Over the course of the report preparation, usually 10 days, the queries are repeatedly run, the aspect and attributes of language usage concerning the selected entities are noted, and changes plotted against a static field model with meta-aspects such as duration, emotional content, impact, geography and sequencing (distribution over time or the ‘spread’ factor).

Data acquisition is conducted through c/c++ programs under the control of an expert system written in prolog. For data and POV validation, the model contains a self-representing entity which is tracked over time for consistency. Reference programs external to the modeling process are also employed as validation devices.

The physical display of the model is done in a CAD program through LISP scripts.
