Strange Shadows

Hi Steve:

Recently I have had three rather strange happenings, I live in a sparsley populated area of southeastern Arizona. About mid June while east bound on U. S. 70 we had a shadow pass over the p/u and go across the road, thinking it might be a friend in his ultralight we looked out of the windows and there was nothing there. The airport is about 5 miles east and on the left (the direction the shadow went) no plane could be seen. Strange but, oh-well.

Last week on July first the sun was beating down whiile I worked, in Arizona this time of year you instantly notice when a cloud passes over, this happened at about 12:30 the sun was hot then a cool shadow for about three seconds then hot again. I looked up nothing.

Today July 10 at 4:12p.m. while on U.S. 70 at about mile post 283, the highway runs east-west and a shadow passed from north to south at a high rate of speed. This time we got a good look, it was very dark which would suggest a very low flying plane, it was a very slight chevron shape of about fifteen feet by fourty feet. As luck would have it there was a pullout about two hundred yards ahead I stopped at once turned off the car and jumped out, there was no sound and no plane anywhere. We don't drink or smoke strange plants and two people don't imagine the same thing at the same instant. Have you had any other reports of this happening?
