At Least 100 Car and Truck Windows Shot Out in Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio — At least 100 car and truck windows were shot out Sunday night and early Monday in Columbus and suburban Whitehall, police said.

No one was hurt, and authorities said there was no connection to an unsolved series of shootings along Interstate 270.

The damage appeared to have been caused by a BB gun or a slingshot flinging ball bearings, Whitehall police Sgt. Mark Newcomb said.

Police said they had no suspects.

"We don't if someone got a BB gun for Christmas or what the deal is," Columbus police spokeswoman Sherry Mercurio said.
