Man, Steve, I have never seen any "shooting star" or whatever this was, this huge!! I am in the middle of a large city and this thing was as big as Venus in the eastern sky. My guess is that it was around 5:05 or 5:10am EST. I was out on my morning walk a little earlier than usual-and boy did it pay off. Absolutely awe inspiring! I was stationed in Bermuda for four years and the skies gave us some shows-but nothing like this solitary, huge "asteroid". I am not a star gazer so I'm not sure what it was. It moved slow (but muchfaster than a plane) and it burned brightly until it went over the horizon. I hope many people saw this. How incredible would this have been in a boat on the middle of the dark ocean!!!!
Just another "sign in the sky"??
