Bird Flu in Cats Poses No Bigger Human Threat-WHO

GENEVA (Reuters) - Confirmation that bird flu has killed two cats in Thailand would not necessarily signify an increase in the risk to humans from the killer disease, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday.

"While conclusions are premature...infection in cats is not considered likely to enhance the present risk to human health," the United Nations health agency said on its Web Site .
