Power Outage in Northumberland County, PA

PPL blames a squirrel for a power outage in parts of Northumberland County. Some 9,100 homes and businesses lost electricity about 8:45 Wednesday morning. A PPL spokesperson said a squirrel got into a sub-station.

Parts of Coal Township and Shamokin were without service most of Wednesday morning. Service was expected to be restored by noon Wednesday.
