CHICAGO (Reuters) - The plane carrying Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. John Edwards aborted takeoff from Cleveland's airport on Friday when the pilot spotted a potential problem with a generator, Edwards' press secretary said.
The chartered Boeing 727 pulled to a stop on the runway at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Mark Kornblau said.
No one was hurt, he said.
"According to the pilot, of three generators (on board), one indicated problems and he aborted takeoff as we were heading down the runway," Kornblau said from the airport, where the plane was being inspected.
Edwards was on his way to a campaign rally in Baltimore after attending an event in Cleveland.
