Armed Suicide

The central issue of our modern age is really pretty simple. I use the phrase "modern age" with some hesitation. In my view, our so called modern age isn't as modern as we like to think. In fact, four and one half years into the second millennium, things resemble the year 1004 a little more every day. Weren't we going to running barefoot through the tulip field, with Robots doing all the grunt work, by now? I guess if you replace the Robots with the hordes of illegal immigrants and factor in the tulips have been gene spliced to become Venus Fly Traps, we are close enough for government work. Progress leaves a lot to be desired. Soylent Green is close.

When I was fourteen years old, way back in 1968, I saw the Stanley Kubrick film 2001. I found it utterly incomprehensible then, and also when I watched the thirty year reissue in 1998. Having recently read the Arthur C. Clarke book it was based upon, I now understand the movie clearly. I find myself far from understanding the current global reality crashing through my daily existence here on planet Earth. I find it utterly incomprehensible how we got this screwed up. I understand how we did it, the choices we made; it's just the why we made those choices I don't get. The planet is in a mess. I find this messiness, this looniness on planet Earth to be its most defining trait. If you accept the leadership class is clinically insane, and the populace is either loony, going loony, or simply dazed and confused into apathy, much makes sense today. Clinical insanity has been redefined as normal behavior. Personally, I haven't found being a bit loopy to have interfered with my daily life here in modern America at all.

We nuts do tend to ramble though. If you want the concise lies of the NWO, go to the mainstream press whores. My essays are more like a Sunday drive down a rural two lane with your crazy Uncle, the one who never quite recovered from the war, or taking LSD, at the wheel. Every once in a while he'll stop the car because a flock of geese is really a squadron of fighter planes getting ready to strafe the car. Now isn't that better than driving down a freeway in a mini van and eating at a fast food joint? Hmm, where was I? I can never remember whether I am to increase the dosage on my medications or reduce it. It also is helpful if I remember to take it. Who needs drugs? I just create my own personal reality and surface into the dominant one when I have to. I find that to be refreshingly subversive and also a lot of fun. The point to the essay is what? Ah, yes. The central problem of our time is people are trying to kill each other.

Suicide is when you kill yourself. Armed suicide is when you kill yourself and as many other people as you can take with you. Armed Suicide is the defining cultural, social, religious, military, political, economic and psychological theme of our time. Armed suicide has literally exploded into our consciousness and redefined how we think about politics, economics and military matters. The fact people want to kill other people, the reality individuals and small groups of people have the will and the means to execute armed suicide redefines our times in ways we are only now just starting to realize. We are what we are as a global culture today in a large part in response to one fact. The fact many people, for many different reasons and causes, are eager to kill both themselves and other people. Our age is now one where the person willing to commit armed suicide can strike at any place, at any time, using any method of his choice; most importantly, for any reason they want. The social and psychological implications of that last sentence are profound. I suggest you ponder them, chew on them and began to see what I mean when I say the time we live in now is not the time we lived in five years ago.

The 1949 NBC documentary, "Victory At Sea" had a line describing the battle between the United States sailors trying to shoot down the Japanese Kamikazes and the pilots who had drank the sacred sake cup and sworn the sacred oath to die. The paraphrase said the battle was "between those eager to die and those eager to live." It seems we live in an eager time. The NWO is eager to make you and me medieval serfs. The Islamic terrorists are eager to send us all back to the 7th century. The corporate and media whores are eager to turn an entire generation into Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson. And a seething mass of misfits, true believers, purists, losers, opportunists and desperate people without hope of all types are willing to kill anybody, anywhere, anytime, any way and for any reason.

Do you want to know why Bismarck's prediction about the next war being started in the Balkans came true? Do you want to know why World War One started? Why over 3 million human beings were killed in it? Why the social structure, the political structure and the culture, the roaring twenties, the rise of Communism, the collapse of the Hapsburgs, the Kaiser, the Czar happened? It was because one man, a Serb, committed armed suicide by shooting the heir apparent to the Hapsburg Empire and his wife in Sarejevo in 1914. One man committed armed suicide and the political, economic and cultural infrastructure in Europe and much of the West collapsed within a decade. Now, have I got your attention?

Charles Lindbergh is famous for three things: flying the Atlantic solo to Paris in 1927, having his baby kidnapped in the mid 30's and his battles with FDR over aid to England in 1940. He is also famous for this quote: "the bomber will always get through." This quote has great relevance for our time in regard to the man or woman who is seeking to commit armed suicide. Mutilating Lincoln, we can say, "Some of the death seekers will be stopped most of the time and all of the death seekers will be stopped some of the time; none of the death seekers will be stopped every single time." Lindbergh's principle, applied to armed suicide, means it will always be impossible to stop every single bomber, or every single suicide seeker, every single time. We will never be able to stop every single person willing to die every single time. Every professional bodyguard understands all they really guarantee a client is they will kill the person who kills the client. If a killer is willing to trade his life for the life of his victim, the difficulty in stopping them increases beyond measure. We must think differently in response to this changed threat.

In an armed suicide situation the game changes. Our defense structure, our security structure, our political attitudes, policies, infrastructure and our national psyche ignore this new reality. We are playing checkers; the person willing to die is playing chess. We are beating our chests and yelling our Tarzan yell with our Carrier Task Forces, our Marine and Army Mechanized Divisions and the like. Against us our deployed legions of individuals and small groups willing to die for their cause. A man who has already decided to die is the most lethal military force on the planet today. Given the right weaponry, armed suicide warriors can shoot down helicopters or jets with shoulder fired missiles, just look at Black Hawk Down in Somalia or Iraq today. They can take out a tank with large land mines as in Gaza against Israel. They can take out a truck or a HumVee with an RPG or a road side bomb. The Armed Suicide Warrior has redefined modern warfare before our eyes every single night on the television news. It is the Armed Suicide Warrior that has shattered the political, economic and military policies of the USA in Iraq on the shoals of Rocket Propelled Grenades and AK 47's. A Disney movie of all places, the 1967 movie "The Eccentric Millionaire" had a single line which I think says it all. The line is, "Beware of the Inspired Amateur." Bismarck is quoted about "philosophers with guns." I will be quoted as saying our age belongs to "amateurs with guns, and true believing ones at that." It is these amateurs who have kicked the United States in the testicles so many times we are collapsed on the ground in agony. And our only response is a bunch of SUV flag waving patriots who want us to use brutality to win the war. In the new equation, brutality just makes more people willing to commit armed suicide. The United States has been defeated in Iraq, militarily, politically and economically. Our ideas have been defeated. Our ideology has been defeated. And they have been defeated by a bunch of amateurs with only two common traits: hatred of the USA and the Jews and the willingness to die for that hatred. It is said we should not leave Iraq with our tails between our legs. I say it is better to leave with your tail between your legs and not wait till both your tail and your legs get chopped off. Are the SUV patriots prepared to lose 50 to 100 soldiers dead a month for the next decade? I don't think so.

The man or woman who is willing to die can change political policy, as the train bombings in Madrid, Spain showed. The man or woman willing to die can change societies, as in Israel and the United States with its fascist Patriot Act. The child who is willing to die has changed education permanently, with armed policemen now patrolling our schools. The employee who is willing to die has changed the workplace forever, with the term, "going Postal." now installed in our language. The symbol of our age is the lone gunman, the lone bomber; the person who is beyond it all. A person, either through a desperation caused by lack of hope, or a bitter rage at life, at the system, or an individual, or a group, is beyond caring about consequences. Armed Suicide is the final statement of a person who cares nothing about life. A person who openly, eagerly seeks the release only death can give. A person who believes so intently, so deeply and so completely either their cause is just, or their life is meaningless, they want to die. We have no defense against this.

The system wouldn't care, except these people don't just want to die quietly: they want to kill. It is this mystical, desperate and angry need to kill which is shattering the global system.

The West doesn't quite know how to deal with people who want to blow up Disneyland and kill Mickey Mouse. The West has no ideals and is thus defenseless against people who not only have ideals, but are willing to die for them. Against death, the only true defense is life. The West is failing because there is no life left in it. The West has no ideals left, it has no ideology and no beliefs. The point of life in the West today is to consume as much crap as you can and to count up the totals to see who won at death. It's the he who has the most toys win idea. Even if Militant Islam wasn't creating hordes of martyrs seeking to kill us, the West creates its own domestic version. The barrenness and sleaze of modern American life creates its own armed suicide recruits. Our schools are dangerous because our children, not Usama Bin Laden, kill each other. Our workplaces, streets and homes are violent, dangerous places because there is no justice, no honor and no truth in the land. The corruption of the ruling classes is now everywhere. The United States has rotted from the top. The true meaning of trickle down is the filth flows down into the masses and turns them into what the ruling classes have always been like. Everywhere is the squalor, the sleaze, the corruption, the arrogance, the lies and the deceit which defines modern American life. Everywhere the ancient Western political, moral and economic traditions stand ignored, mocked and spat upon by the multicultural racists and bigots now in control of education, the media and the common culture of America. Everywhere the rich and powerful feed upon the weak and helpless. Everywhere our leaders are fools, cowards and amoral con artists, with the exception of Ron Paul and possibly Kuchinich. Everywhere we have been struck again and again and again by disaster; yet, we still whine, "Why?" We are a pathetic nation.

A nation fallen so far from its heritage and ideals into the cesspool we now call popular culture has no defense against men and women who truly believe in something. We are already dead, as a nation, a culture and a people. Death attracts death. It takes life to defeat death. How can those with dead ideas fight those with live ideas they believe in to the point of sacrificing their lives? How can the West be victorious when it is already defeated? Sun Tzu talks about defeating the strategy of your enemy. We went into the War on Terror and Iraq and Afghanistan with the idea we were going to turn 1 billion Muslims into Disneyland going, fast food eating, CD buying clones of the western consumer. We also wanted to steal their oil, as Cheney and Haliburton are so amply proving. This vision of consumer paradise is what we offer Militant Islam. Militant Islam is not only coming to kill us; they are laughing at us while they pull the bomb cord. I mean, 70 Virgins beats out Ronald McDonald anyday in my book.

The West once had the great ideals of freedom, religious tolerance, justice and the worth of the common people and their hopes for a better life for their children, but no more. The idealism has been replaced with shallow consumerism and a self indulgent lifestyle of sloth, obesity and mindless mass entertainment. Patriotism is now redefined as a shopping trip to the mall by Bush and his Chamber of Commerce buddies. The Democrats have no concept of self sacrifice left at all. Even some of or military cadets are rapists and thieves, for the rot has reached even there.

Like the military, American society has run out of bullets and will be slaughtered like the fools we, most of us, have become. I exempt about 25% of the American populace from my criticism. We will see our $400 billion a year military be stung into impotency like a horse under siege from horse flies. Our vaunted military has been gutted in Iraq by hundreds of Armed Suicide Warriors. The United States will be bled slowly to death by Iraq and the War on Terror. Our global commitments in over 140 countries will wither our economy and our military into insignificance. Our military is in a defacto state of collapse already. Once the military and the economy goes, the will of the people will simply deflate like a balloon. It is at this point our Tri Lateral Commission leadership class will sell us out to the NWO and we will become region ten of the globalists. Vast numbers of Americans will be swept away in the surging globalist current since they have nothing to believe in except day to day existence in a consumer society. Make the world safe for Haliburton and Disneyland isn't much of a rallying cry.

It will all be revealed. The American people will finally see the generations of treason, of betrayal and cynicism by the leadership class composing the system. This knowledge will destroy them and they will, most of them, will either die or be meekly herded into the NWO. Why not? If you don't believe in the spirit, then why not spend all your time polishing your boat and your car? And when they come to take away your boat and your car; well, you won't have any depth to you in order to outlast it. The materialism so common in the United States today will disappear soon and when it does, most Americans won't be able to deal with it mentally.

The true believers are coming. The true believers are here. They are willing to die for what they believe in. We are defenseless because we believe in nothing of substance, value nothing of substance and have no hope for a better life. Most Americans don't even have a good reason to continue trying to make it in this shopping mall called the United States of America. This is why so many of us are killing ourselves, or use drugs, alcohol, casual sex and the host of other ways we self medicate ourselves to deal with the emptiness of modern life in the Western world.

Against will, we offer technology; Against the spirit, we offer nothing at all; Against discipline we offer consumerism and obesity; Against rage we offer platitudes. We think the USA is the largest predator in the world and need fear nothing. In reality, we are dinosaurs looking up at the first snow flake. Bob Dylan sang, "The times they are a changing." It's a pity the United States and its people haven't noticed.
