Gaza - The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has urged the Arab and Muslim Ummah to expose and boycott the American administration of president Bush for its unlimited support of the Zionist entity especially in expansion of settlements.

Hamas, in a statement yesterday, said that the American administration was adamant on pursuing the policy of lying and deception in a bid to deceive the Arab and Palestinian public opinions.

“The Bush administration hopes in so defending the Zionist entity’s interests to win Jewish votes in the upcoming presidential elections,” the statement charged.

Hamas pointed out that new scandals unveiled this week confirmed that Washington did not object to the expansion of Zionist settlements in Palestinian lands and had secretly agreed over three years ago to expand settlements in the West Bank.

The American officials’ utterances, over those years on Washington’s rejection of such an expansion, were mere chapters in the comic play that was concocted by both Washington and Tel Aviv, according to the statement.

The Movement said that the American “threats and pressures” on the Zionist entity to evacuate the so-called illegal settlement outposts were “sheer lies” and that behind closed doors the matter was totally different.

The American administration had in fact given a green light to the Hebrew state to continue in settlement building and provided an international cover for such practice, the statement elaborated.

It described the American actions as “dirty games” on the part of the Bush administration, and affirmed that settlements could only grow with “American patronage and American money”.

The statement pointed out that millions of dollars were reaching the Zionist entity in the form of assistance and unclaimed credits that were all channeled to construction of settlements.

The American administration that claimed to be the patron of the Middle East peace process and that it was an honest and neutral mediator was in fact revealing its ugly image, Hamas said, adding that Washington was supporting aggression instead of peace, assassinations, demolition of houses, storming cities and destroying infrastructure instead of justice. The USA was in short justifying the Zionist enemy’s crimes and sins, the statement went on.

The Movement cited the strong American backing to the Zionist wall of annexation, which made it impossible to establish a Palestinian state.

It noted that such practices emphasized that the USA and the Zionist entity were two faces of one coin.

Hamas asked those who were deceived by American promises for a long time to wake up and to be sure that the USA was absolutely against the Palestinian people’s interests and that it was seriously working in cooperation with the Zionist entity to hamper the realization of Palestinians’ legitimate rights.

Hamas stressed that such American practices contradicted international laws and norms that affirmed illegitimacy and illegality of the Zionist settlements.

It charged the USA of encouraging the Zionist enemy to escalate war and terrorism against the Palestinian people.

The Palestinian people should unite over legitimate rights and resistance as the only method to deter the Zionist aggressions, Hamas said and called on the Arab and Islamic countries along with all freedom lovers in the world to expose American crimes and terrorism and to boycott the USA for its hostile policy against the Palestinian people and the Muslim Ummah.
