MONTPELIER, Vt. Local, state and federal officials today took part in an emergency drill involving two mock earthquakes at the Vermont Yankee nuclear plant.

Hundreds of officials covered their emergency posts, with 70 responding at the division's headquarters in Waterbury alone.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will review the drill and announce its findings at a meeting in Brattleboro on June second.

Today during a mock earthquake, each of the five towns within the emergency planning zone around Vermont Yankee staffed its emergency operations center.

A mock school evacuation in December failed because there were not enough buses.

No buses were involved in today's drill.
