Pakistan’s nuclear installations are vulnerable. Al-Queda operatives and Talibans are in the Pakistani security forces that make these nukes not protected. Pakistan’s biggest challenge is Al-Queda infiltration in its security forces.
Pakistan increased the vigilance on the nuke installations all on a sudden. They have started blaming India and Israeli intelligence for trying to break into the same. But the real reason they are concerned is the fact they know very well that many in their security apparatus are agents of Al-Queda.
According top media reports, Pakistan's Interior Ministry has asked the authorities in Islamabad to increase security around the country's nuclear installations against the backdrop of reports that Indian and Israel intelligence agencies were spying on them, according to a broadcast in the BBC Urdu Service.
Quoting the ministry, BBC said the Indian and Israeli intelligence agencies had trained 25 Afghans in Kabul and sent them to Pakistan to glean information about its nuclear installations.
The ministry wrote a letter to home secretaries and the Islamabad chief commissioner on March 5, warning them to be extra vigilant, according to BBC.
The ministry wrote that another group of Aghans was also being trained in Kabul and that two Afghans namely Hazrat Ali and Haji Zahir had been assigned to recruit spies. The ministry said that the Indian government had supplied fake Pakistani currency to the two Afghans.
The ministry directed the provincial governments to be on the alert for suspicious Afghans and send regular updates on their measures in this regard.
BBC Urdu Service said Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, however, said that he did not know if the ministry had written such a letter.
Pakistan can blame it all on India and Israel. But the problem is their danger comes from inside and not outside. The world is unsafe with vulnerable Pakistani nukes!
