UNO BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Birds do it, butterflies do it, whales do it, and so do sharks. Migrate, that is.

It causes quite a stir among national news media who aren't familiar with the annual shark migration, which results sometimes in hundreds of them seen from the air swarming just off shore.

That's what happened this week, but they're gone now, heading northward.

Beach patrols gave the all clear today in Palm Beach and Broward counties. Surfers and beachgoers returned to the waves and sunny shores.

The sharks were mostly blacktips and spinners. They were chasing bait fish in their annual swim northward.

Come this fall, they'll make the same trip back south, which will be good for some more aerial shots by national television media for the folks back in Kansas.
