Florida's Fresh water Crisis

ourse we can run out of potable water. the local authorities are saying if the wells are intruded it will be 3-10 years before they recover.
I expect there would be total disbelief and many getting sick out of ignorance to the initial event or denial. This will continue as people are driven to drink from all sorts of water sources - like salty ocean water or unclean water.
This will stress the hsopitals. Water would be comendeered almost immediatly for "official" use before people. It would be impossible to ship in enough. So they would start rounding people up to send to refugee camps.
Those that can leave, will if allowed to. It would be such an overwhelming event I think travel would be one way out only unless you are an official.
Generally speaking FL is not able to desalinate as it has not been put in place.
I have enough to last me several months provided there is other water for washing/ bathing. I also have a few water filters that will basically clean ditch water along with extra filters and light enough to carry.
I would not try to stay for such an event. Even with my supplies I would be out of here to our alternate location at the first hint of real trouble. Otherwise you'll end up stuck in a riot or cattle car.
