Steve,
I went to a Gander mountain store yesterday to use up some gift cards and purchase some things including .223 ammunition. After noticing that the shelves were completely dry of all .223, 7.62x39 and most .45 and 9mm. Seeing this I simply thought maybe there was holiday rush or year end clearance and thats when I noticed the sign saying that "due to the war, there is a major shortage of .223, 7.62x39, and .45 cal ammo. This situation will be in effect indefinately but they are trying to replenish"
I have a hard time buying that the military is short on there specific ammo which is actually 5.56x45 and not .223 rem. not to mention, when did we start using 7.62x39 in our service weapons. Suppose we are providing ammo to the enemy. Ueah, right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something doesn't smell right here.
