The Un-Fairness Doctrine

Sometime in the not so distant future...

As I tuned in to hear my favorite radio show on WWCR at 7 p.m. a stunning announcement rang through the radio. Instead of my favorite radio show, it was the call to prayer in Arabic. I checked my shortwave radio, making sure that it was tuned in properly. After 5 minutes of chanting and the call in Arabic, a man started reading from the Koran in English, then Arabic. I was stunned and shocked. Fixated in amazement, I kept listening until fifteen minutes into the show when the WWCR announcer boomed out "IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SETTLEMENT WITH THE FCC, THE NEW FAIRNESS DOCTRINE REQUIRES WE PROVIDE EQUAL TIME FOR ALL RELIGIOUS AND POLITICAL VIEWPOINTS TO OUR LISTENERS. AT THIS TIME, WE ARE PARING BACK ALL TALK PROGRAMS AND RELIGIOUS PROGRAMS TO NO MORE THAN 6 HOURS PER DAY, TO ACCOMMODATE THIS RULING. AN UPDATED PROGRAM SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED ON OUR WEB SITE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE."

That threw me for a shock. What in the world has happened to our nation. As if the Amero announcement was not enough, Rush Limbaugh's retirement announcement which created a firestorm in the U.S. and the modern day" Dunkirk at Basra" as the media called it, which left tens of millions of dollars in military equipment abandoned for our enemies, now we've lost the right to free speech. God help us!"

"Here he goes again" you might be sighing right about now. But let's take an in depth look at the future of our nation. Try to ignore a lot of the insane predictions and wake up. Start looking at what our enemies, both foreign and domestic, are telling us they are going to do to our nation. We laugh, we chuckle, just like it is still Monday, September 10th 2001 and the world is at peace. Yet the foolishness we exhibit as a society is about to exact a price which we will not recover from.

The political correctness movement might seem like a group of innocent old professors who smoked dope and protested the Vietnam War marching in lock step with the Marxists of the day. But in reality, they are in power now and seeking a permanent lock on molding our society for the adventure into a universal government where third world nations like Mexico and America will hold seats and an equal voice in governance. And the people, stupid, meek and happy being ignorant, voted to surrender to protect themselves from further attack instead of taking a stand. In doing so, they elected people willing to strip you and I of your rights, one by one, and attempting to make everyone else equal instead of insisting on their assimilating to the American way of life and the original intent of the Founding Fathers.

Before the Congress is an act which at this time, is being deemed "just another attempt to shut up Rush Limbaugh" by the politically motivated souls of our society. While this is true, the dangers of this new Fairness Doctrine are even more dangerous. In the 1970's, when the equal viewpoints were a requirement for all radio stations which held a license for broadcasting on airwaves under the management of the Federal Communications Commission, would be challenged by politically motivated groups to get equal time to broadcast their viewpoint because XYZ said ABC at 8 a.m. this morning for ten minutes. It became an unmanageable mess by the 1980s and was ignored by most stations shortly after Reagan became President because he viewed this arcane law as a stifling of free speech in our society and wanted the law repealed so he interfered with enforcement of it. The danger for abuse was there, but the methods of mass communications such as the Internet did not exist at that time. Now, in our current society, the ability for massive organization and monitoring of local, regional, national and international broadcasts is not only possible, it is happening with hate groups on all sides of the equation monitoring every word said and creating reports for future use.

So now, while this law is being debated, and America watches the idiot box, which is dumbing them down even faster than before, we who love freedom and the First Amendment are at a crossroads. The new law, much like the old one has some very vague sections in it. But what should scare you is that the broadcasters you enjoy, whether they be Steve Quayle or Rush Limbaugh, Mother Angelica or the Rabbi of your desire, or even a local programmer who offers opinions on local issues, their rights, their commercial speech is under threat. The difference, as I see it this time, is that the radical Islamic movements operating as "legitimate" groups, and I do use that term loosely, will use the new Fairness Doctrine to squash the ability to speak against terrorists and political leaders of their ilk. To add to the concern, is their argument, well founded based on the new law in my opinion, that stations which broadcast Christian or Jewish based programming on "publicly owned airwaves" should offer equal time to minority based religions to be "fair" or "just". Think it won't happen here? Pastors are already being prosecuted overseas for just READING the Bible and promoting "hate speech." We never thought 9-11 would happen here either. But deep down inside, this act, which has the support of such radical groups like C.A.I.R. and the Islamic Brotherhood via their myriad political support groups, has a very strong chance of passing if the Presidency changes hands as is being predicted in many circles. Think about this. Would a station, which has one set of beliefs, is forced by a gutless bureaucrat to broadcast beliefs or words that they do not believe in, what purpose would there be to stay on the air unless they plan to run music 24/7 with commercials or "Swap Radio" non-stop with politically correct gardening shows tossed in between. The threat of this act extends beyond just the political speech we have all taken for granted at this time. There is a new twist, to silence all religious and political voices to insure Christians and conservatives have neither the voice nor ability to speak freely again. They will submit this law to George W. Bush and it will be vetoed, probably early next year. To follow his veto, the scream of "bias" against minority viewpoints will be shouted all the way to the voting booths with women and minority religions helping mobilize their Marxist robots to aid their cause. In the shadows, the money from Saudi Arabia and other nations will be laundered to assist in this cause and as the nation lunges to the extreme left in November of 2008, the plan will be set. I cannot urge you more than ever to let your voices be heard on every issue that is near and dear to your heart now. You must let your politicians know that we actually enjoy the rights provided to us under the Bill of Rights and that means ALL of them.

The risks of failure are too great. Once we lose this battle, the message boards and Internet Radio will be next to face the assault and imposition of bureaucratic censorship. This is no longer a battle of just the "left and right" as has been America's way for two hundred years. This is now a battle for the survival of our freedoms, as we know them.

Say something. Email, call, write, and march, whatever it takes, but do something. Unless you want to hear "Druid Worship Hour" instead of Steve's show or mine, unless you enjoy the idea of Tom Cruise preaching instead of hearing Billy Graham's voice, and unless you love the "call to prayer" in Arabic instead of sharing prayer with your fellow Christians on the air, I would suggest taking a stand now. Although our society is dying, this would just be the gasoline to get the fire moving higher and faster. If you do not believe that they are capable of this, drive around your city. Note the number of new Mosques built, primarily with Saudi money. Notice the lack of policing to secure our borders and visa programs. Then think.

What is the last step to one world assimilation?

That's right, the final destruction of all beliefs in the original culture, religious and traditional, which mold the nation.

The price of failure this time is final.
