Isaiah 2:1-10-18
The ROCK is Jesus Christ!
"Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, for the fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty."
Vs 11 "The Lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day."
Vs 12 "For the day of the Lord of hosts will be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon everyone that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low."
Vs 13 "And upon all the high cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up; and he shall be brought low." (The cedar "trees" in bible symbols are seen in symbol as "leadership" in the churches today as well and are the high and lofty "trees" in the "forest" or the vineyards as seen as the churches today - See Psalm 29:5; Hosea 6:5)
Vs 14 "And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up." (The mountains and the hills in bible symbols speak of the religious kingdoms of man- See Ezekiel chapter 34:1-12.)
Vs 15 "Upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall."
It is Joel's end time army that shall climb upon the High Walls that surround religious "Babylon" as men of war against her round about. (See the book of Joel chapter 2:1- 32)--as this chapter ends with the time frame just before the terrible and great the day of the Lord comes in full force through an angry God in wrath and judgment upon all that are ungodly and obey not the gospel of our Great God. (See 2 Thessalonians 1:5-12; Jude 14 )......
It is that we can see and read in the book of Joel chapter 2 which it begins with the sounding of a War Trumpet and an Alarm of impending judgment! It seems to end of the chapter in verse 32 and reads as follows.
Joel 2:1-32
"And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood fire, and pillars of smoke."
Vs 31 "The sun shall be turned into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come." (See Isaiah 13:3-10; Ezekiel 30:2; 34:12; Amos 5:16-20; Zephaniah 1:14-18; Malachi 4:1-6)
Vs 32 "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call."
See Zephaniah 2:1-3...This is for us the "new nation" that is called to bring forth the fruit of the nature and the character of Jesus Christ..! (Matthew 21:43;John 15:1-6; James 5:7-8)
