There is no “free lunch” and “nothing” is coming in the mail.

That little phrase is repeated so often around the “water cooler” it has lost all meaning.

Everyone expects something for nothing. That’s a given.

Everyone who has “lined up” at the “hog trough” of free stuff ….advertised as “a stimulus package” ....has obviously missed the point entirely. 

Why do you think they call it “PORK BARREL SPENDING” ???

Payment for the “free stuff” must and will come from someone ………..who is working.

To continue to think that government……WE THE PEOPLE….must forever “enable” our elected leaders (?) to forge ahead with a scam of that magnitude is to abdicate the highest responsibility of citizenship.

Do you think, tax and spend, will continue FOREVER???

Eventually……(coming soon to a neighborhood near you)……the trough will be empty. [More empty than it is now….if that is possible.]

Unless you are as “blind as the proverbial bat” and “dumber than a box of rocks“, you have not missed the rhetoric coming from the people who call themselves “our leaders”. They are lying thru their teeth.  

The end is coming and coming with the speed of a runaway train.

The ability of the average person to maintain even “some resemblance” to what, in past years, was referred to as a “stable life style” is rapidly diminishing.

Each and every “discretionary” dime is monitored with the “vengeance of scrooge” by the average homemaker.

The filth out of peoples mouths that “we can do nothing about it” is nauseating.  

I’d like to ‘throw up’ into the “hog trough” they eat out of.

“Most” politicians don’t care about you and me. They only care about being re-elected. Just why do you think you get the little “bulletins” in your mail telling about how nice they are to you?

So you can have an address to send a “Thank You Note” to them for how nice you feel after being ___________? (fill in the blank.)

How “sweet” of them to remind you of “how nice they are to you”.

Many government workers do not contribute one damned dime to the economy. They are leaches. Little harsh? Not one bit.

The first clue to their identity and necessity should be when a “fiscal emergency” is declared by that same government.

HERE’S THE BULLETIN SENT OUT

All “non-essential” employees are being asked to stay home.

If they are so “non-essential”, why are they working there in the first place ?????

Stop paying them and they will get the message. Simple logic applies here. Remember that “LOGIC” stuff from school ??

Who are the essential employees? Good question.......

It does not take a College Professor to fill in the blanks of that one.

Any government activity which would best be served by private industry………is non-essential.

That should get rid of about 2/3 of the individuals currently getting a check from “borrowed money”.  

At the same time, those individuals would not suffer one bit. They would work in the private sector.

The only purpose of a Federal Government…..according to Benjamin Franklin………is to defend the country (Call up the Militia) [With all Officers appointed by the Governor]……..settle disputes between the States (Interstate Commerce) ……….and deliver the MAIL.

Anything beyond that is ........non-essential.

Here’s another clue.

Every Bill, not just some but all, passed by Congress….Codified into Law….requiring any expenditure of funds to take part in the fiasco....somehow [????] exempts certain people from taking part.

Guess who they are?  

You’re right. The Members of Congress.

Now, ….ain’t ….that …..special ???

Those who eat from the “hog trough” are never charged with producing what goes into the feed.

Are we going to “eat ourselves to death” ?????

I hope this comes as no great surprise to anyone. In an attempt to continue eating at the trough…..we have become cannibals.

We are eating our own subsistence.

We, that’s you and me, have continued down the line of cannibalism by shipping our “raw materials” to other “less fortunate” countries.  

Perhaps, we do that so that we may be seen as somehow more “benevolent” and “charitable” than other countries, so we may “win them over”.....to adopt our ways …so their labor can replace ours.  

So we do not have to expend the required effort to produce anything……..except the minimal amount of effort required…….to continue to eat at the trough…with the pigs.

[I seem to remember something about a “prodigal son” doing the same thing.]

Have we come full circle in our demise?

Not quite yet.

There remains a certain group of individuals or nations who have had a lust for our possessions for centuries. Perhaps not consciously, but it has always been there. [Envy and Jealously have been the hallmarks of past societies.]

Wars have been fought for centuries, primarily to acquire the goods and services of other countries. The leaders of the invading countries always try to replace the lack of what they have with the abundance of what the others seem to have.

First they try to buy the stuff, but when that fails because the other country needs the stuff too…..force is applied.

Such is the nature of “round robin” economic diplomacy.

Economics, in it’s purest sense, has always been about producing a product better and cheaper than a competitors product, so the person needing the product will buy yours and not theirs. Profits are generated in that manner……and that should come as no surprise to anyone.

Only when the “raw emotions” of jealously and envy are “set aside” will the confrontations generated ever change.

Those who do not learn from history ….are destined to repeat it.

Operating in such a myopic life style is ludicrous to most observers…..especially the Europeans who have more of an appreciation for history that the “new comers” to it, WE “Americans”.

The prognosis for a clean bill of health for the United States of America does not look very promising.

We must be weaned, like hogs are weaned.

We must go on a diet. We must learn to be satisfied with the production of our own labor.

We must either wean ourselves or the weaning will be forced upon us. There are no other scenarios on the horizon.

On one hand, only ignorant people continue to “give away their food” and go hungry…….just to see what it’s like.

On the other hand, those countries who continue to sustain our way of life have already become disgusted with our lack of effort to be self sufficient and are about to “pull the plug” on the seemingly never ending supply of money that sustains our stupid, ignorant, self-centered life style.

They may “have” the money……since we gave it to them…..but no one loans money back to a culture showing very little hope of survival in its present state of decline.

The threshold of the approaching "doorway of opportunity" will either be taken in stride or tripped upon, causing a massive stumble.

That “doorway” provides an entrance and also provides an exit.

We can either “go out” from the madness and enter into a realm of reality or we can walk straight into the madness to try a side door in the hallway…….which will only produce the same results we have now.

There are no alternatives.

Every economist, with any credibility, is acutely aware of what’s coming.

Only those economists who are “beholden” to some “idealistic scenario” of “hope springs eternal” (and a government check) continues to search for different "flavors" for the crap in the hog trough.

There is a great upheaval coming.  

That upheaval will either come from your stomach voluntarily……to get rid of the crap…….or it will be a "foreign made" stomach pump ……induced without your cooperation.

You may need to ride the “porcelain bus” for a long time…..but you will survive….if you have a mind to.  

Many will die. Many will not have the fortitude to administer the mandatory, self-induced medication.

Many will succumb to the temptations to “go along for the ride” of some phony promised “alternative“.  

That alternative will turn on you like a “junkyard dog”.

There are some choices to be made.

You can either make them yourself or they will be made for you.

Either start now to get rid of the excesses in your life……..the non-essentials……..and prepare for what’s coming or...... become a statistic……..like the people in a horrible storm.

Not to decide is to decide.

If you do not decide to do it yourself……..you have decided to let “them” do it for you.

One way gives a chance………the other is terminal.

You do know what gets thrown overboard from a sinking ship, don’t you ???
