Pak Shelling in Jammu

Pakistani troops fired rockets and bombs from across the International Border on RS Pura sector of Jammu division without causing any damage, a Border Security Force spokesman said here on Wednesday.

Pakistani troops fired four rockets and 20 bombs at Sangral area last night in an attempt to stall the fencing work being undertaken on the Indian side, he said.

"No loss or damage was caused on our side", the spokesman said adding Indian troops retaliated and the exchange continued till morning.

Pakistani troops have regularly resorted to shelling or small arms firing in the area for over a month to disrupt defence-related work under way, he said.

Intermittent small arms firing exchange has been reported at some places in Samba and Arnia sub-sectors along the IB since Tuesday but led to no casualties on the Indian side, the spokesman said.
