Scientists In New Jersey Have Invented A Super Soap
'Super soap' set to wash away competition
May 20 2002
It creates a layer on the skin's surface which bacteria find difficult to latch on to.
Hands washed with the new soap picked up 58% fewer bacteria than those washed with ordinary soaps.
It is based on three commonly used cosmetic ingredients - petrolatum, dimethicone, and polyquaternium.
Since most bacteria are picked up through contact with doorknobs and other surfaces the soap may provide a hygiene breakthrough.
