Iran, Iraq Hit Back at US

US accusations that Iran sponsors terrorism further damage any chances of establishing ties between Washington and Tehran, Iran says. Iraq, meanwhile, in its al-Thawra newspaper, points to the "wars and genocide" the US has waged under successive governments and "does not mention" in history books. On Tuesday, the US branded Iran the most active sponsor of terror for providing support for the Palestinian fight to win some of its country back. Iran, Sudan, Libya, Syria, North Korea, Cuba and Iraq were also named.
