Palestinians Cancel Talks on Resolving Siege of Arafat Compound

Minutes before the talks were scheduled to begin, Palestinian officials called off a meeting today with Israelis about resolving the crisis regarding the siege of Yasser Arafat's compound, Army Radio reports.

The meeting was canceled in protest against Israel's refusal to let the Palestinians meet first with Arafat to coordinate positions, the radio said, quoting unnamed Palestinian sources.
