I had a dream tonight. This was strange because I don't remember my dreams as a general rule. I was in my workplace (a large hospital), attending to my regular duties, when suddenly the lights went out. The emergency generators came on and I did not think about the power interruption for several minutes. Suddenly, a doctor came on to the unit and told us that a nuclear bomb had gone off in New York City. He said that we could not leave the hospital because we would be fired if we did. He said we were in preparation to receive any causalities that might occur in our area. Many nurses started crying and said they were leaving to be with their families no matter what the consequences. In the following moments of my dream, I realized that total chaos had broken out outside as there were roving gangs of looters and worse in the streets. I wondered how I would survive and found it ironic that I had laid in supplies at home for such an occasion but had no access to the same. I decided to take my chances on the road only to be assaulted by a gang of youths throwing bricks and celebrating the damage that they had already caused. I remember putting up a fight but being overwhelmed by the large number of looters and rioters. The last thing I remember was being hit from behind and going unconscious. I was sure I was dead. I saw a blinding light and heard a voice say "when judgment came believers were told to put the blood of a sacrifice on the door and great tribulation passed them by---in the same manor, if you have the blood of the lamb on you, you will be spared these things". I know the reference was to Passover in the Old Testament. I woke up with a start. I have had time to think about this dream. It has made me think about my relationship with Jesus and events that will occur in the near future. I have learned two things, one--get right with God!!! Number two -- don't expect for anyone else to prepare for you. Spend every minute of the day sober and watching.for the soon return of Jesus.--------Glenn
