Rapture Alert

Do you ever get tired of hearing about the "rapture?" I admit I do at times because "soon" on God's clock [it seems] is never soon enough.

God says He speaks to us through visions, parables and dreams (and, of course, His word, the Bible). The veracity of what I'm about to share with you is based, in part, on:

Hosea 12:10
"I sent my prophets to warn you with many a vision, many a parable and dream."

Job 33:14-16
"God speaks once, yea twice, yet man perceives it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction..." [KJV]

Personally, I consider it noteworthy that since 1991 God has sent three rapture dreams; the third occurred a few weeks ago while God had my full attention; my PC was undergoing surgery (about July 1, 2002). Following is a brief recap of the first two before I share the third:

1) In the first dream . . . I was caught up into the clouds in the rapture while still asleep on my side. I stood up and took 'roll call.' I called out the names of two close couples who I didn't see there with me, as well as, the 'Christian' name of a child my husband and I tried unsuccessfully to adopt in 1981. Notably, one of the Christian couples whose name was on my 'rapture roll-call list' is opposed to a pre-trib rapture view; the 2nd Christian couple oppose efforts to prepare for the rapture in any way but spiritually. In contrast, they spend every weekend preparing their 'retirement' home in the woods. ;)

2) The 2nd dream turned out to be a message of comfort and hope from God for the wife and children of a RADM in the U. S. Navy, confirming they would be reunited with the RADM again soon in the rapture (since he had just passed away).

3) The third rapture dream just occurred (around the first of July 2002) as follows:

Jesus appeared suddenly on my left, covered in clouds up to his waist. Angels were moving about on my right. Jesus and the angels were busy directing the traffic of saints heavenward who had been called up in the rapture.

Since I wasn't moving, for a brief moment I panicked and said, "Please don't leave me behind!" Just then I had a knowing why I was being delayed. Those who had died before were now resurrected and going up first, just as the Bible prophesied they would. Those presently alive, like myself, would follow next.

What stunned me most about this particular rapture dream was seeing Jesus, so real, so close and in person! To me this is very significant because He has never appeared to me before in any of my rapture dreams!

In the dream Jesus didn't look at me or acknowledge my presence in anyway, but I understood it was because He was busy with the job He had come to do, which He had afforded me the privilege of observing ahead of time. It was as real as if the event were actually occuring at that exact moment - - a marvellous impression of what it will actually be like when we finally meet Him face-to-face!

I knew prior to this dream that "the dead in Christ will rise first...," so I have been wondering why the dream, and why now? These three dreams have all occurred since late Summer of 1991. I can understand the purpose of the first two dreams, but this one has me baffled. Perhaps He allowed me to feel what many will feel who will get left behind - - unless someone tells them quickly how to get right with Him. Could the Lord also be signalling that He's about to surprise us with His sudden appearance in the rapture? Are we truly that close?

The July 2002 rapture dream inspired me to write the following brief poem:

"Don't leave me behind, Lord, I'm ready to go,
where eagles soar, no more pain, no more war.
There's nothing here worth waiting to see,
My home in heaven is ready for me.

I'm tired of tears, grief, heartache and pain,
I want to go heavenward, your presence to gain.
My loved ones are there, just waiting for me,
I'm longing your loving face to see.

So come, Lord Jesus, I'm ready to go,
And leave all behind, heaven's joys to know!
