Men Caught Videotaping Ships in Florida No Trespass Zone: Two Brazilians in U.S. Illegally Claim They Were On Vacation

PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. -- Two Brazilian men were taken into custody Sunday after they were caught videotaping ships and terminal areas at Port Canaveral, according to Local 6 News.

Authorities said that Odilion Soares Dos Santos, 42, and Siman Ebzebio Ferreira, 33, were found in a "no trespassing" area of Port Canaveral with a video camera.

The two men, who only speak Portuguese, said that they were on vacation and were fishing, Local 6 News reported. They also allegedly told authorities that they were not affiliated with any terrorist organization, Local 6 News reported.

A records check revealed that both men were in the U.S. illegally.

Both men are being held at the Brevard County Detention Center on trespassing charges.
