Four IDF soldiers were injured Friday afternoon as Hezbollah fired anti-tank rockets and mortars at IDF positions in the Har Dov area, along the border with Lebanon.

One soldier sustained light to moderate injuries, while three others were lightly wounded. IDF troops returned fire at the sources of the shooting.

This marks the first time in about two weeks that the organization has fired upon positions inside Israel.

On Wednesday a resident of Shlomi was slightly injured when shrapnel fell in her yard from an anti-aircraft shell fired by Hezbollah across the border. About 10 shells were apparently fired at Israeli aircraft flying near the border. This was the first time an Israeli was injured since Hezbollah began this shooting several months ago.

The border region had been quiet for a number of days following the visit by Secretary of State Colin Powell to Lebanon and Syria. UN Mideast envoy Terje Larsen has also embarked on a diplomatic mission to Israel's northern neighbors to try to maintain quiet along the border.
