India's Patience Wearing Thin: Omar Abdullah

India made it clear on Tuesday that its patience is running out and its restraint against Pakistan won’t last.
The provocation for New Delhi’s change in mood was provided by the latest terrorist attack in Jammu, which killed 34 people.
The Jammu incident has reinforced fears that more terrorist strikes were on the cards what with the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir only months away.
"Events like this (Jammu attack) will ensure that restraint (by India) will not last," said the Minister of State for External Affairs Omar Abdullah.
The terrorist strike in Jammu could turn out to be a flash point in Indo-Pak relations and said it would be "unfair" to expect India alone to exercise restraint.
He said US Assistant Secretary of State Christina Rocca would do well to convince the Pakistani leadership during her talks on Wednesday of the need to show restraint. "The policy of restraint is a two-way street," he added.
In reply to a question on the impact of the Jammu attack on the troop deployment on the Indo-Pak border, Mr. Abdullah said the defence top brass would review their preparedness.
