You are in the Plains of Dura:DREAM INTERPRETATION THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST IS SOON TO APPEAR

Steve,

I was awakened from a dream this morning that I thought was important enough to share with you:

In this dream I was walking with a group of people in a desert, when we came to a very wide river. There was a low bridge across the river with a protective railing on the right side. When we crossed the bridge and got to the other side, I heard a loud voice saying, "You are in the Plains of Dura." And I also somehow knew that the river we crossed was the Tigris River.

When I awoke, I looked up the meaning of the word "Dura" in J.B. Jackson's Dictionary of Scripture Proper Names and found that it means "habitation." I then remembered this place was mentioned in Daniel 3:1 as the place where King Nebuchadnezzar set up the golden image which Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to bow down to. (Also, I read in the Expanded Bible where "Dura" comes from a Babylonian word meaning "wall" or "fortress," and that this is a province in the kingdom of Babylon which means "confusion.") And the Hebrew word for the Tigris River is "Hiddekel," and this was the place where Daniel was when the angel appeared to him after having battled the Prince (ruler spirit) of Persia for 21 days. "Hiddekel," according to J.B. Jackson, means "riddle of the date palm (tree)" or "riddle of lightness."

I'm sure there is a lot of spiritual symbolism in the dream, but I have not yet got a full interpretation from the Lord. But one thing seems fairly cleat and unmistakable: After the bridge is crossed, the voice said we were in "the Plains of Dura." This is where the golden image is set up and idolatrous worship is mandated. And if the dream has prophetic significance, I think it means we are on the verge of that here and now and that we must prepare ourselves.
