I felt like Big Brother was hard at work at Wal-Mart.

Hello Brother Steve, I stopped in Wal-Mart the other day to pick up some fire starter bricks. I've gotten lazy in my old age and didn't want to cut or collect kindling for my fire. Anyway when I got to the check out line the clerk asked me if I intended to use the starter bricks for home use and informed me I would have to put my name on a list. I immediately refused, She gave no clear answer as to why I would have to place my name on a list. I told her that it didn't matter I didn't want the product if I had to sign a list. She then called the manager who told me it was for tax exemption purpose. I still refused and said I didn't want a tax exemption or to place my name on a list. Needless to say I won't be going back to Wal-Mart. It seemed a trick to me to put my name on a list to receive a tax exemption for a minor purchase. I felt like Big Brother was hard at work at Wal-Mart.
