We headed to the check out line and half way through the check out process, the scanner started beeping and a message came up saying "SALE NOT ALLOWED". The clerk tried the items 3 more times with the same result - SALE NOT ALLOWED. BIBLE VERSE!

Hi Steve,

I've written to you once before regarding some strange things going on in Tampa - some even involving Walmart.

In our district, the kids just went back to school this week, and some of the teachers sent home 'class-specific' supply lists. Being on a budget and Walmart being close, I reluctantly took the kids to Walmart to get the few items needed for the next school day.

When we walked in, the front of the store (inside) had a large area (formerly the customer service area) that was under construction and closed in by drywall and a new door - a note saying the customer service area had been 'temporarily relocated to check-out lanes 1,2 & 3'. For a Super Walmart to relocate their customer service to three lanes (10 item or less express lanes, by the way), was odd considering how busy Walmart's customer service area usually is.

The next thing that happened is sad, sickening and a true picture of where we are RIGHT NOW as Christians:

One of my kids needed to get 4 spiral, college ruled notebooks, as required by her teacher. As she was picking out her notebooks, I noticed 3 boxes of spiral notebooks toward the bottom of the shelf and off to the side... all 3 boxes had different designs, but you could tell they were all made by the same company due to a little logo on the front. One of those spiral notebooks caught my eye because it had a message about God's love. I smiled and thought: 'It's about time we get God back into our daily lives!'

We headed to the check out line and half way through the check out process, the scanner started beeping and a message came up saying "SALE NOT ALLOWED". The clerk tried the items 3 more times with the same result - SALE NOT ALLOWED. The clerk said the item was probably part of a package that had been opened, or it was a recalled item.

Guess what the item was..... One of the spiral notebooks with a passage about God's love inside!! ("..But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.") I hadn't even realized my daughter picked up one of the notebooks I had been looking at and put it in the cart.

Those notebooks were not part of a package that had been disassembled. This is yet another attack on God and his Word.

On our way out, the former customer service area that was built out had a door leading in that was cracked open - I peaked inside and saw 3 or four smaller rooms in the framing stage with one very distinct feature: each of those small rooms were framed in the front as well with spots for a door and spots for the walls. The framed out room in the middle had a small, rectangular opening framed out (similar to what you see in a prison cell where they pass food trays through to the prisoner). Steve, I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP!

I have been feeling sick to my stomach for 2 days now...

Please, Brother Steve - I am asking you to pass this information along to all of God's people out there. I am also begging every God loving, Jesus following Christian to never shop at Walmart again. I will never shop at a Walmart as long as I live! How can we justify giving our money to an institution that is forcing God out of our lives - and even worse, trying to shield our school-aged children from knowing (or finding) God's love?

Bless you and thank you for your work,
