Regarding the "Alert" posted about the sudden construction/bridge-raising
near Spartanburg, SC; I live about 45 minutes from there so the post
grabbed my attention. I found the following which clearly shows the purpose
of vertical expansion of bridges is for defense/military purposes...so the
concerns expressed by the writer were on the mark. I've attached the
