Many years ago I had a dream from the Lord and have kept it in my heart til
now. Our children were elementary school age and attended Christian
school. This was a holiday and the school was having a turkey dinner in
celebration~buffet served around the top tear of a large circular room. The
tables were about 3 or four steps down into the eating area. It was full
of families and even grandparents were in attendance. There were people
standing around the serving tables quietly observing, bu not in a
threatening way. When all had been served and had begun eating I suddenly
heard one of the observing men step up and announce gleefully that everyone
in the room had been poisoned. That they had watched to see that indeed
everyone in the room had taken some of the poisoned dishes and by this time
each had eaten some of the tainted food. They were thrilled that in just a
few minutes we would all be dead. The horror in the room was palpable.
And people began to cry. I stood up and shouted that the Bible said that
believers could drink poison and it would not harm them. So just stand in
faith on the Word of God and watch what the Lord would do on our behalf.
And the others in the room told me to shut up and let them have their last
few moments alone with their loved ones in peace. They were horrible and
disinterested in what the truth of God's Word said. The dream ended with
me continuing to hollar about what the Word said on the subject and to
stand in faith. But they would not hear. And I woke up sweating.
