EVERY SINGLE TEAR SHED BY THE SAINTS IS HELD BEFORE THE LORD-HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED WHAT JESUS WENT THROUGH FOR US AND THE TEARS GOD MUST HAVE SHED?

TEARS
Tears must have formed the crystal river
that flows by the foot of the throne.
It was on the day Jesus went away,
leaving His Father and His home.

The angels wept, and God’s tears were shed
when Jesus came to live with man.
There was no other way by which we could be saved
it was His perfect will and plan.

’Twas a wondrous night, the birth of Christ,
angels filled the skies singing heaven’s hymns.
All proclaiming, “Peace on earth good will to men.”
Then, He lived and walked among mortals

speaking words drawn from heavenly portals.
So many times when He stopped and taught
thousands gathered round.
But at His trial, in His defense
they uttered not a sound.

It seems that we forgot the things
that He had done for us.
He touched, and healed, and fed, and cared,
then we killed Him on a cross.

We beat Him. No, we scourged Him,
He suffered every cruelty known.
It’s recorded in the book of Psalms
you could count His every bone.

As God looked down what did He see?
His only Son hanging on a tree.
And the crystal river out of its banks did flood,
as Jesus shed His precious blood.

I know the heart of God was torn
when on His head they placed the thorns,
and when the spear pierced His side,
the river raged as a giant tide,
and the blood and water flowed.

He was so broken, torn and brutalized,
that as a human was not recognized.
This broken, beaten, pulp of man
was laid in a tomb cut by hand.

The tomb then closed with a giant stone,
and the river flowed beside God’s throne.
For three days the battle raged,
then came the victor from the grave.

What He’d been through we cannot tell,
but He held the keys to death and hell.
And He paid in full an awful price
He paid the price that bought my life.

And now that crystal river is a sea
Made from the tears Jesus shed for me.
