your insights are pretty spot on! I made some discrete inquiries Monday
and found out that at least two local meat processors have recently been
"awarded" government contracts to produce as much SHELF STABLE
Turkey and Bacon products that they can. So even though they are running full bore, its not for us. I am also pretty certain these companies have never had government contracts before...
