FOOD REPORT FROM VICTORIA BC--I went into the frozen food section of Superstore and there was literally a 7-8 person crowd all trying to get frozen fruit.
Hello Steve,
I have been an on again-off again reader for many years. I have never
written you before but felt compelled to send this note to you regarding
what seems to be a food shortage? here in Victoria, BC, Canada. I've been
noticing the food section of many grocery chains to be out of a lot of
products. Since I consider myself to be 'in the know' I'm always keenly
aware of rising food prices and lower stock levels. I thought it might have
been just me noticing the empty shelves, but acquaintances (sheeple) on
facebook (I know, I know....) have been commenting on it for the past week.
They're posting about how Wal-mart and Target have large holes and are out
of many everyday items. I make a fruit smoothie every morning and use
frozen mixed berries.... I've went to 3 stores in 3 days trying to find
what should be an essential grocery store item without success. The entire
frozen fruit section of 3 large chain grocery stores was almost completely
empty. It was only today that I got a bad feeling.... I went into the
frozen food section of Superstore and there was literally a 7-8 person
crowd all trying to get frozen fruit. It was surreal. I decided to check
the alerts section of your website tonight read about the person from
Spokane who mentioned that their grocery stores seemed half full... We are
in the same geographic region as Spokane- being very close by on Vancouver
