It’s so sad what this country has come too.I have been in mourning mode for months now seeing what is happening. What will people do without hope in God? How can they make it? God has provided just in time these past months
My husband runs freight from Western NY to New England area down to NYC, Boston, Philly areas. We saw a slow down starting last spring/summer that was noticeable as these times are usually very busy. He would work a full week, then the next week he would have a 3-4 day week and then back to full week after. They were like hiccups. Then in November it got worse where he worked a total of 10 days that month. This mind you is just before Christmas and it normally starts to pick up again after a lull. December was worse still and now it is the middle of March, 2016 and there has literally been no work at all. There were 6 road jobs and now even the top drivers aren’t getting any work. It’s been a hard 4 ½ months but my husband has the option now of bumping back into the city for the city driving. All the top road drivers are doing the same because they can’t chance waiting by the phone for the call that never happens. The city drivers now bumped out of their day job either have to take the road jobs hoping things turn around or find another job. Good luck with that! This is a union company and it has been a good job but things have changed drastically now. I have been telling my husband about the BDI (Baltic Dry Index) and how bad it has gotten and what this means for the whole country.
It’s so sad what this country has come too. I have been in a mourning mode for months now seeing what is happening. What will people do without hope in God? How can they make it? God has provided just in time these past months of which we are so thankful. I think this is our test run to get us more prepared for the times ahead. I listen to your interviews on H &H and also lately with Tim Alberino. Amazing website too that I visit every day and I am thankful for it.
So glad you have the Alerts link too as that helps us all stay connected as to what’s happening all over the country. I’m going to pass along what these other truckers are saying so my husband can stay informed too.
