I thought you might find this article interesting. Both sides, ie the uni-party, has been pushing for a crackdown on opioid prescriptions. However, this article/study takes the CDC’s own data to show that the problem is illicit fentanyl, not opioid prescriptions. We know that when both parties agree on something, they’re up to no good (TPP and open borders are past examples).

Dave Hodges has pointed out that the DEA does very little interdicting, and it is likely that the DEA and other Federal agencies profit by protecting cartels and money laundering backs involved in the drug trade. We all know about “Freeway Ricky Ross” and the CIA, Mena Arkansas, The DEA and the cocaine cartels, banks like HBSC getting miniscule fines for drug money laundering. lethality, yet government statistics group causes of death in
a way that obscures the importance of identifying specific
agents involved in deadly overdoses. Searching the CDC
Wonder database reveals that the recent spike in deaths is
primarily due to illicit fentanyl. Targeting legal prescriptions
is thus unlikely to reduce overdose deaths, but it may
increase them by driving more users to illegal sources.
