Hi saw your post about those on fixed income needing preps. Due to my
circumstances I only have a little for preps. I am on SSI with income of
$1200 dollars a month. Utilities here are very high so most of my cash is
gone due to that. I have just enough for a few groceries after that. Also
got bad news on credit cards due to an injury sustained three years ago, a
very broken leg, so have a plate plus thirty screws in my leg I am still
paying for and several household old house disasters later. The main
trouble now though no money left for preps because my older guide dog
cannot work much any more so I havbe been accepted to the Seeing Eye in New
Jersey my guide dog school to go back to New Jersey to train with another
dog, but is costing me a bundle to be able to do this. My older guide dog
has to be staying in a nearby kennel while I am away so costs me $340 while
gone plus her food $60, and fee to my school for another dog/$50, her meds
while gone $23, and horrible suitcase fee at airport I estimate at about
$80. Fortunately the school pays for the flight and transportation to the
school or I couldn't do this at all.
But this means I have very little in preps. I have fifty gallon water
barrel which water is probably frozen by now, and one bucket of
Mountainhouse freeze-dried food but that's I guess only good for two weeks.
That's all. I know I need so much more plus food for my two dogs to be
prepped at all plus more. I do have some tools, some camping gear from when
I was homeless thankfully.
Anything anybody could do to help me at this point would be soo grateful. I
am under the gun can't pay my credit cards sustained through too many old
house disasters plus three years ago a major accident when I broke my leg
very seriously, and now have a plate and thirty screws in that leg so now
still paying bills for that accident.
Thanks for all you do. I am concerned with everythig going on. I have few
contacts here in the city have never gained friends much because can't get
others to talk to me much. I just know the bus drivers here. no friends
makes it worse. But I am hanging on from day to day doing what I can.
Please pray for my safety on the plane on Feb. third when going to class in
New Jersey. I will be there to the 20th of Feb then home again with the new
