Daniel Holdings Shares His Experience During Snowmageddon 2026
SPECIAL REPORT - Snowmageddon 2026
Hello All,
Daniel Holdings here with an update to my current situation.
Saturday night I was locked and loaded to upload a Not Shaken Weekly News Roundup when “Snowmegeddon 2026” rolled in. The initial part of the storm was no real big deal, snow for the most part even though temperatures were dropping. That all changed Sunday morning.
I woke up around 4 am to find that the power was out. Dutifully, I immediately placed a call to our power company to inform them. I figured, the sooner they found out the power was out in our community, the sooner they could turn it on. As you may remember, I live in rural Kentucky in a hilly, wooded community. We are about 12 to 15 miles outside the closest city. Then I went back to bed.
Sometime between the time I went back to bed and woke up Sunday morning is when the ice storm hit. This was really strange because temperatures actually dropped but instead of snow, we were getting ice.
Before anyone says that we in the South don’t know how to handle the snow, remember I’m from Southern California. So, you would have been right if I wasn’t stationed in Montana running with our maintenance team between nuclear missile sites. I dealt with my fair share of 50’ drifts and got married in a blizzard in which the temperature dropped to 60 below with the wind chill. I’ve also been stationed in England where we saw some freak storms. But I’m here to tell you, I’ve never seen anything like this.
That ice coated the trees and, as we used to say in the Air Force, made the ground as “slick as snail snot.” After the ice, the precipitation turned to sleet and that’s when things went bad.
I read an article a couple of days before that talked about exploding trees in Wisconsin, I think. I thought to myself, “Come on, there’s no such thing! That has to be clickbait!”
But shortly after 9 am Sunday, trees started exploding all over our hill community. It was some sight to see. The tops of trees were ripping themselves off of their trunks and raining down to the ground. Big pines were also falling to the ground. In a span of about 15 minutes, all over the neighborhood you heard a frightening succession of whomp, whomp, whomp! It was so surreal.
The lots on either side of our house are filled with huge pines, so yes, we were not spared from this tree terror. One particular tree exploded and it took out our power line and internet cable. Thank the Lord that not one of those trees hit our house or car, but the damage was done.
Then it was all over, that quick.
Temperatures continued to drop and the roads had become sheets of ice. Since we live out of town, and in a wooded community, our neighborhood is not a priority for plowing or the electric company. That may sound unfair, but you’ll understand in a moment.
By the end of this event, almost 37% of our power company’s customers were without power. Throughout the US, 1 million people were without power.
In Kentucky, thousands of people were in the dark and the power company had to prioritize the fastest solutions for the most people. Unfortunately, our little community of about 450 houses, all the way outside of down, in the woods, are a real challenge for them. There are downed trees everywhere that snapped powerlines, broke poles, demolished transformers. It is not going to be an easy fix and it’s going to take time. First, the tree cutters need to come in and clear the trees so the power company can get to the equipment. Then the power company needs to assess where to start and replace each line in order, daisy chain like. Then, individual homes that have lines down like mine, can get addressed. It’s a mess. This is day three of darkness and cold, and we are hearing it will be a least a week until they can fix it all.
(Update Day 4 – I just talked to the power company. They confirmed my suspicions that it’ll be at least a week. There are three crews assigned to our area and they are working hard even though I haven’t seen anyone. We live on the edge of the Daniel Boone National Forest and there are a lot of hills, hollows and backwoods that can easily hide people. The lady at the power company referenced the damage we had from the tornado a few months ago, and she said that it was nothing compared to this! She said that in all the years that she’s worked there, she has never seen anything like this destruction. She called it “a real natural disaster”.)
As an aside, but still important, last night, day two, we thought that ice started raining down on our roof from the trees above. Our fireplace fire “poofed” and went out. It was very strange. My wife got on her phone on the community website and people were reporting hearing booms and cracks all around the neighborhood, so it wasn’t just us. Then someone nailed it, they said from experience, “Oh, those are ‘Ice Quakes’!” My wife looked it up and sure enough, it’s a thing! Especially if you’re around a body of water. We live across the street from Lake Cumberland. Again, I’ve heard of Ice Quakes but I thought it was something someone made up to get hits to their article!
My wife and I are prepared for all kinds of events because I’m me and we’ve been here long enough to know that stuff happens. We have a generator, and gas stove and fireplace, plus preps we accumulated over time. My wife also cans so we have plenty of food and water. And we have a 4x4 vehicle.
Speaking of which, I had to go down the hill to town yesterday for propane. I have plenty of gas for the generator, but the fuel line must have frozen in the single digit weather. I don’t understand why, it only got down to 0 degrees. (LOL) Anyway, my genny is dual fuel, gas or propane and while I had a couple of bottles, it wasn’t enough. And I certainly was going to hang around those kind of temps to troubleshoot the fuel line issue.
I tell you all this because as I was going down our windy little street, I had to literally chainsaw my way out. We have the best neighbors, a few of the guys came out with their chainsaws and began to hack at these huge trunks laying across the road. I stopped and helped for a while until a whole was made and then I had to go. As it was, I went to at least 10 different places for propane, but everyone was out. The last place I went to in town, someplace I’d boughten from before, has a huge tank. I heard the guy telling the other worker, “We down to 8%. Looks like we’re going to have to close early!” God is good.
Just as an aside, the day before the storm hit, chemtrails lined the sky all over this area. There is no question, this was weather warfare on a massive scale. However, I believe the compounds sprayed in the sky were different this time. Although I didn’t witness this myself, there were a few reports that said as the trees exploded, people saw fire in trunks. There were also reports that people tried to melt snowballs they had made, the snowballs didn’t melt, they burned leaving the bitter smell of burnt plastic. Not only was this an intentional act of geoengineering, I believe that the chemicals they are spraying are being used for other purposes besides weather.
As I write this it’s Tuesday night, tomorrow it is my intent to go to the Starbucks in town and upload this so I can at least send an email to you all to let you know I haven’t forgot about you. But also, it’s a tough time to be sidelined because things are happening very quickly now.
I’m not even going to bother sending out the work I did last week for the Not Shaken podcast. It’s old news by now and we are well beyond it. But I will tell you that with limited capacity of my phone, I have been tracking three very important issues that are exploding before our eyes.
1) American Civil War 2.0 – The events going on in Minnesota will be the fuse that lights this power keg. Donald Trump is reported to be calling up active-duty federal troops to go there. At the same time Governor Tim Walz has activated the Minnesota National Guard to stand between the protestors and federal ICE agents.
So, you may be wondering, “Daniel, how can the President deploy active-duty soldiers on American soil? I thought Posse Comitatus forbid that?
You are absolutely right; however, it’s also being reported that the President will enact the “Insurrection Act” which is essentially Martial Law. That will allow active-duty American troops to act on American soil. This will no doubt bring about immediate conflict between uniformed soldiers of the State and the Federal Government, in addition to rioters and provocateurs in the streets. It will be Civil War.
Two things about this. When I wrote my second book, As The Darkness Falls, some 12 or 13 years ago, the Lord showed me Federal and State troops fighting each other in a civil war. I put it in that book as a storyline, but it is based on what He showed me. It amazes me that we are about to experience it in real time.
Secondly, in a vision or a dream, I can’t remember which, Dimitru Dudeman saw civil war begin at the center of the country. You can’t get much more center than Minnesota! If you drew a line south, it would align almost exactly with the flow of the Mighty Mississippi River whose headwaters start in Minnesota!
2) A second American carrier group is now in the Middle East, and a huge military buildup of both offensive and defensive capabilities is occurring as I write this. Russia and China both have warned that if the US attacks Iran, they will consider it the start of World War 3 and they will take action. Other Middle Eastern countries, including allies, have also told the US and Israel they must not strike Iran.
I believe there is no question, the US and Israel will strike Iran, maybe before the week’s out.
3) The US Dollar is imploding, and precious metals are going nuts.
As usual, I’ve been in contact with my friend Steve Quayle several times over the last few days. Where I understand the markets because I was in that industry, he understands the metals markets just about better than anyone I know.
We are both convinced, there is a transformative economic change coming in the very near future, maybe even this week. And not in a good way.
All of these things are occurring while I’m stuck on the sidelines. I’ve gotten invites to be on the radio shows and do podcasts, yet I am silenced at the moment. People write me and ask me questions, but I can’t really answer. I’m terrible at texting or typing on my phone. Candidly, it is frustrating.
But God’s ways are perfect and I may be frustrated but He has a reason to pre-prepare me in this way because the stuff might just hit the fan by the end of the week. So, I would ask for your prayers and your patience as I try to get back to you as quickly as I can. Pray that our generator stays running and that my wife has peace.
I also pray for you all that you will have foresight, courage, and peace that surpasses all understanding to face the days that are coming. Remember, keep on your face before the Lord, repenting, worshiping and thanking Him regardless of what comes. It doesn’t matter what happens, He is still in control.
Bless you and I hope to talk to you soon.
Daniel
