Hi Doug and Joe,

I loved the show last evening with Steve Quayle and V. After listening to the show, I felt compelled to contact you so that I could corroborate at least one point that V made regarding the illusion that is our economy. V alluded to the fact that our real estate market really isn’t recovering, no matter how much we are told otherwise. I’m a Realtor here in Phoenix, AZ and I don’t believe that there are many areas of the country that were hit harder than we were as it pertains to the real estate market. What V said was absolutely correct…the only reason that the market “seems” to be recovering is because only a small amount of the bank foreclosures are even being re-marketed. I estimate that I personally have been in between 30,000-40,000 bank foreclosures in the Phoenix metropolitan area in the last 3 years. Many of these properties still have the prior occupants personal property in them. It’s really quite disturbing walking through these houses at times, I feel as though I’m violating somebody’s space. My point is that there are literally 1000’s of houses that I have been in 2-3 years ago that are still vacant with the very same personal items in them, untouched from the last time I was in them. I can literally drive down any street in certain areas and see a half dozen abandoned homes, as evidenced by the vacant property sticker that the banks and/or municipalities place on the front door. These are houses, which if they were all of the sudden put on the market, the market would crash again. The banks are purposely holding back inventory so as to create a false demand and a false increase in values. Like much in these times that we find ourselves, the real estate “recovery” is anything but…

One more thing…on New Year’s Eve day I went into a house that had been abandoned. It was typical…junk strewn around. I make it a rule never to touch anything, but my eyes fell upon an opened, tattered bible sitting on a shelf…it was opened to Ecclesiastes and my eyes went straight to 1:9…”The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done; and there is no new thing under the sun.” I thought a lot about the significance of what I had found and wondered if that bible verse had meant something special to its owner. The more I think about it, the more I’m inclined to believe that it may have only been meant for my eyes.

Anyway, great show. I found you guys by accident 6 months ago and haven’t missed a show.

God bless you two, K.IN PHOENIX
