BEWARE DOOR TO DOOR BOOK SELLERS WITH FOREIGN ACCENTS-WHAT ARE THEY PLANNING TO DO WITH YOUR CHILDREN?

I live in rural central Illinois. A car pulls into the driveway with a
Virginia license plate. Out walks this very big man with a very thick
Russian accent and proceeds to tell me he's in the area selling childrens
books. He said he saw my playground in my yard for my kids. Shows me a book
where he has been to the small towns in that area selling these books and
where the parents have given their names, their kids names and ages. And I
can't help but be suspicious the whole time because this guy was very
adamant about trying to speak to my wife I can only assume why. After
telling him several times I was not interested and would not give him any
info on my family I practically had to get downright rude to him, after he
kept asking when would be a better time to come back. He did finally
leave.
The thing that got me was there was nothing special at all about these
children learning books. He did not have a business card or any form of ID.
This guy clearly was in great shape and way too big to be a traveling
childrens book salesman from Virginia.
Call me crazy(most of my friends already do) but why would anyone give a
complete stranger that much information without any concern...
