From Bellevue Washington, which is fairly affluent--I second the call for people to buy what they intend to get - now! It will only get worse.
Just went to the local Fred Meyer store. The bottled water I have bought for months is - once again - not available, and the shelf with the various water bottles, while there is still selection, is definitely not as full as it used to be. The frozen food section did not seem as well stocked as usual. And in the refrigerated organic section there was a sign explaining the limited availability of organic eggs.
I second the call for people to buy what they intend to get - now! It will only get worse. And I pray that people will realize that once a crisis hits - even at the very beginning - it will be too late. The stores will look like madhouses with quickly emptying shelves.
