I had an interesting thought yesterday. I have seen a large amount of reports about cops killing dogs for no apparent reason, even to the extent that they are told when they breach a private dwelling , if there is a dog present no matter what size or breed they are to kill the animal. We are seeing so many reports of this behavior that it can't be covered up.
Here's an interesting theory, Killing of small animals has been the classic tell tale sign of a budding serial killer, and almost all of the documented cases were abusers of animals before they jumped to killing their real prey, the human.
In my long time in various LEO positions, just short of 20 years, I have witnessed the visible changes in some LEO's from Officer friendly to Officer Deadly. The guys that love to be in authority and excersize it with an attitude of over importance. I believe the good cops will be hounded out of service or sacrificed to a sick system as these killers move into a more active play. I have heard some of these guys with their war stories and they would do anything to entrap a suspect. For me it sets off red flags but for their supervisors they are the cream of the crop.

Caveat, I don't think all cops are bad but i do believe we will have a day soon where most will be. There is a difference between the folks with "inner authority and outer authority" Inner comes from a good clear headed way of thinking and carrying yourself so people respect you for who you are. Outer is a blue suited bully that barks orders and thinks a badge and a gun make him boss.
